Made all the difference to my agility in technology

This was recently purchased to give to a friend who was starting to teach math in a private secondary school. Entering my freshman year in Prep School years ago, I was inept in math... it made little sense to me, and seemed to have an arcane rules base. But I joined the "Math Club" and an energetic young faculty member just out of Yale used Polya, Whitehead and a third book entitled Mathematician's Delight I recall. All of a sudden the efficiency and beauty and philosophical base of math became apparent to me and I appreciated its elegance. This book contributed to a great transformation, where I went from math dunce to graduating from this school with top College Board Exam scores in math, and went on to be educated in engineering and astrophysics. I am now professor of Physics and Astronomy. Bottom line, this together with Whitehead and a third book, and an enthusiastic math teacher, became a real turning point for me, opening my potential for being an effective technologist.

A very good book on mathematical problem solving. The print quality of this version could be better: the cover looks like a very low-res jpeg and some of the margins are not consistent.

Wow, did J.S. Morbius ever keep me guessing with this! He throws a number of twists at the reader, changing not only the course of the plot but the entire feel of the story. From Martin to Martina is that rare erotic novella that manages to genuinely surprise and delight from beginning to end.

The development of Martin and the evolution of his fetish/identity is at the core of the story. It all begins with an appreciation for women's lingerie - something his girlfriend refuses to wear it. Before long, Martin isn't just pleasuring himself with handfuls of satin and lace, but actually wearing it. What started out as a simple lingerie fetish quickly evolves into full-on crossdressing, while an encounter with an sympathetic shop owner leads him to question his very identity.

With elements of both transvestism and transsexualism, this is a positive exploration of gender and sexuality. Martin and Mandy are both fantastic characters, and their interactions are really at the heart of that exploration. They only have one truly erotic scene together, but it culminates in one of the most sensual climaxes I've ever encountered on the page. Sally is a hard character to like, especially through the middle of the novel, but the resolution of her character arc is another genuinely satisfying surprise.

I don't want to spoil any of those twists I mentioned earlier, so I'll just advise readers to be patient, and to trust where the story is going. It does get rather dark and sorrowful in the middle, but From Martin to Martina is not a tragedy, it's an erotic romance . . . and the resolution is just delightful.

Huh, didn't see that coming!

I really enjoyed reading the latest release from J.S. Morbius. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. Knowing his transgendered style, I expected the story of a man slowly becoming a woman, but that's not what happens to Martin! The characters were constantly surprising me and even at the end I was left with a 'huh, didn't see that coming.'

A story of a different life style

This story was a little hard to handle because the subject was foreign to me. The story does involve love and Sally's back story touched me deeply. We see why she acts the way she does and that she loves him. We see why she does what she does when she finds out. It is Sally who makes this story work. She is one of the most interesting characters I've experienced in a long time. Without her this is just a fetish story.
